Home, sweet home (for now)

Greetings to everyone from the Cote d'Azur!  We have rented an apartment in Nice, France for the next two weeks and look forward to a little down-time.  Aron has been doing the lion's share of the logistical planning of journey and it's actually a lot of work; coordinating trains, lodgings and so on.  We're so excited to have the chance to unwind and relax, unpack, have a kitchen with laundry facilities, and a new place to explore really, really well.  However, there is one small draw-back:  there is no internet or wi-fi at all in the apartment.  Sure, there are internet cafés, like the one I'm typing from, but I have to contend with a vastly different keyboard - this is not a standard Qwerty keyboard.  Here is an example (the following phrase will be typed out legibly, followed by how one would type at home without looking):

"The weather here has been a little rainy, but otherwise you'd never know it's November 16"
%The zeqther here hqs been q little rqiny; but otherziwe youùd never knoz itùs Nove, ber &-%

I suppose you'd get the gist of what I'm trying to say but....... I'm signing off the blog for probably a little longer than normal, because of the internet issues and also for a little break.  When I return, though, there will be many gorgeous photos to share with you.  This part of the world is stunningly beautiful!

  3. Cote d'Azur (French Riviera) is a really really gorgeous area. Miriam and I had our honeymoon in Saint-Cyr sur Mer. Some of my absolute favorite areas have got to be Monaco and Saint-Tropaz. Enjoy!
